Overview

This is the introduction on how to use the Device Online Registration System (DORS).

To start with you will need to create an account before you can start to register devices online.

You must be located within England Scotland or Wales to register devices with the MHRA.

In order to submit any registrations to MHRA you must first log-in to DORS. To do this you will need to enter your account number, email address and password.

Once logged in a page will appear that lists all requested registration details for your account.

You should see a table displaying each requested manufacturer detail included in your account with spaces for registrations of both medical devices and in vitro diagnostic medical devices under each name.

Where no registration has been submitted this is indicated by the words Not Registered under the ‘Status’ column next to the relevant device type.
Where a registration has been submitted, but has not yet been accepted by MHRA this is indicated by the words Registration Submitted under the ‘Status’ column next to the relevant device type.
Where a registration has been accepted by MHRA this is indicated by the word Registered under the ‘Status’ column next to the relevant device type.

Various options are displayed under the ‘Actions’ column. Clicking on new registration allows you to create a new registration for that device type. Clicking on edit allows you to amend a draft registration that you have not yet submitted or to update an existing registration held with MHRA. Clicking on delete allows you to delete a draft registration that you have not yet submitted. Once a registration has been submitted and until it has been accepted by MHRA no options will appear under this column.
